Caring for Cuba's pastors remains at the heart of our mission. This year, you gave $42,320 to support 184 unfunded pastors across 10 districts, providing each one with $15 per month from January through December, plus a $50 Christmas gift. Another 450 pastors have received monthly salary supplements of $25 to $50, with an estimated $200,000 contributed toward this support. That's more than 630 pastors who can keep faithfully serving their congregations through extremely difficult times.
Your gifts have reached far beyond the pulpit. Funds sent this year have purchased solar generators and installed solar power and water purification systems, helping churches and their communities weather the blackouts and access clean water. Medicines provided through CUBA Ministry have stocked medical outreach clinics in local churches, where people not only receive care but also hear the Gospel and come to faith in Jesus. And through the love of sister churches in the U.S., many congregations are running feeding programs for children and the elderly.
As we prepare to celebrate an important milestone—the 30th anniversary of our covenantal relationship with the Methodist Church in Cuba—we are organizing mission teams to participate in district conferences across all 17 of Cuba’s Methodist districts.
